Really though this is the kind of thing that NEEDS A LINK TO A STUDY TO EXPLAIN WHAT THIS MAGIC IS
It’s probably because the whole image is shaking just the right amount and at the right time, PLUS we all know how a thump sounds like, and since we SEE something that should make a sound but does not, the brain makes up missing information. This kind of stuff happens all the time every day…it’s cool though
